The Boston Bar Association today announced that Rachel Hershfang, a senior trial attorney at the S.E.C., has been named Chair of the Boston Bar Journal Board of Editors and will assume this role on September 1, 2013. She has served on the Board of Editors since 2011 and succeeds Paul Lannon of Holland & Knight as Chair.
Hershfang began her career in 1995 as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge Reginald C. Lindsay for the District of Massachusetts. An alum of Ropes & Gray, she spent 7 years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Boston, where she worked in the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force.
Since joining the S.E.C. in 2008, Hershfang has focused on cases relating to insider trading, accounting fraud, offering fraud, cherry-picking, and market manipulation.
Joining Hershfang on the Board of Editors will be 25 distinguished judges and lawyers.
