This will be a free social-media workshop taught by Professor Sree Sreenivasan of NYC’s Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, where he has been on the faculty for nearly two decades. One of the foremost digital media experts in the world, Sree specializes in explaining technology to non-techies. He is a contributing editor at DNAinfo.com, a Manhattan news startup he helped launch in 2009 (with Joe Ricketts, founder of Ameritrade and new owner of the Chicago Cubs & Wrigley Field), makes frequent appearances on CNN, NBC’s Today Show and elsewhere. Last year he was named to Poynter.org’s list of 35 most influential people in social media and the Society of Professional Journalists’ list of 20 journalists to follow on Twitter.
