Donoghue Barrett & Singal, located in downtown Boston, is now a sponsor firm of the Boston Bar Association, supporting the BBA’s mission to advance the highest standards of excellence for the legal profession, facilitate access to justice, and serve the community at large.
The firm, which includes 30 attorneys in Boston and Providence, maintains one of the largest healthcare practices in New England, and also offers strategic legal counsel in civil and white-collar criminal litigation and government relations. Founded in 1989, the firm will celebrate its 26th anniversary this year.

Donoghue Barrett & Singal has added significant depth in recent years to its already considerable healthcare, litigation, and government relations practices, welcoming William Sinnott, former Corporation Counsel for the City of Boston and former Assistant U.S. Attorney, this past July. Donoghue Barrett & Singal’s Providence office, which Jeffrey Chase-Lubitz established in 2008, brought on five new attorneys in 2014 and will be moving into larger space this spring. In 2013, Partner Roger Donoghue and former Majority Leader of the MA House of Representatives Jack Murphy formed Murphy Donoghue Partners, a government relations affiliate of the firm.
Donoghue Barrett & Singal attorneys participate widely in community organizations ranging from housing to family support, as well as legal committees and associations. Many of the attorneys also offer their services pro bono to community organizations and underprivileged individuals in Boston and Providence.
