As the incoming Treasurer of the Boston Bar Association, Carol Starkey of Conn Kavanaugh will also assume the role of Chair of the Boston Bar Association’s Finance Committee on September 1, 2013. Her law practice is concentrated in the areas of criminal and regulatory law, commercial litigation, and employment litigation. Prior to joining Conn Kavanaugh, Carol was Chief of the Economic Crimes Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. She was a member of the BBA Council from 2004-2007 and served as Secretary of the Council and Executive Committee from 2011-2012. A long-time member of the Criminal Law Section, she served as its Co-Chair from 2002-2003.
Among the BBA Finance Committee’s responsibilities are holding monthly financial reviews and bank relationship reviews, analyzing capital budget items, and overseeing the annual operating budget.
