Boston Bar Foundation Announces Its 2019-2020 Board of Trustees and Officers

October 3, 2019 – BOSTON, MA– The Boston Bar Foundation has elected its officers for 2019-2020, putting in place the leadership team for the coming program year. The BBF leadership includes President Diana Lloyd of Choate Hall & Stewart, LLP, President-Elect Russell Beck, of Beck Reed Riden, LLP, Treasurer Stephen P. Hall, of Holland & Knight, LLP, and Secretary Suma V. Nair of Goulston & Storrs PC.

Founded in 1957, the BBF is the charitable affiliate of the Boston Bar Association with a mission to promote justice by funding and promoting innovation in legal services, enhancing access to justice for the underserved, and supporting the public interest activities of the bar.

The Trustees oversee the support of the many programs the BBF funds throughout the year. BBF funds are used to support BBA public service and pro bono projects, educational and professional development programs for lawyers, public education, and diversity and inclusion initiatives. This year, the BBF also awarded more than $1 million dollars to nineteen area nonprofit organizations that provide Boston’s most vulnerable residents with legal representation and services.
