BBA Summer Jobs Scorecard Trending Upward

Press Release

Thanks to the dedicated leadership of BBA Summer Jobs Program Co-Chair,  David Rosenblatt of Burns & Levinson and Edward Notis-McConarty of Hemenway & Barnes — and a generous grant from the Boston Bar Foundation (BBF) — the BBA Summer Jobs Program will now be able to provide paid summer internships to 55 students from Boston’s public high schools. This represents an all-time high since the Program began with 16 jobs in 1993.

The BBF grant, $35,000, will permit 10 students to participate in the Program — with placements soon to be announced — involving public interest work at legal services and in government. The BBA Summer Jobs Program is conducted in partnership with the Boston Private Industry Council and the Boston Public School Department.

Not on the BBA Summer Jobs Score Card? You still have time. The BBA invites law firms, law offices and legal departments to invest in Boston’s future by creating a pipeline of diversity and inclusion into the legal profession. For more information on the program, please view the brochure and a program outline. To commit to hiring a student for next summer, contact Stephanie Lee at slee@bostonbar.org or 617-778-1914.
