The Summer Jobs Program represents a collaborative effort of the BBA, Boston Private Industry Council, and the City of Boston to reach a diverse population of high school students. This year, the BBA provided a record high of 58 jobs. Of these, 13 are positions at nonprofits or government agencies funded through the Boston Bar Foundation, the charitable affiliate of the BBA. The rest of the jobs provided a valuable introduction to the legal profession in top-tier law firms and departments throughout the city of Boston. Over the course of the summer, students also completed a financial literacy program, participated in a mock hearing at City Council, toured the Adams Courthouse, and took part in other enrichment seminars.
