Former BBA President Paul Dacier to Chair Judicial Nominating Committee

"The Boston Bar Association commends Governor Baker on assembling such an accomplished and diverse Judicial Nominating Commission. Chair Paul Dacier and Co-Vice Chair Roberto Braceras have consistently demonstrated a commitment to serving the community as BBA Council members, and we have benefitted greatly from their efforts.

As past president of the BBA, Paul Dacier led with integrity, inclusiveness and fair-mindedness, and we are confident that he will bring these qualities, as well as his strong advocacy for the judiciary, to the JNC. Under Paul's leadership, we fully expect that the JNC will help the Governor continue the Commonwealth's tradition of building a diverse and eminently-qualified judiciary of which we can all be proud."

- Julia Huston, President
Boston Bar Association

The Boston Bar Association traces its origins to meetings convened by John Adams, who provided pro bono representation to the British soldiers prosecuted for the Boston Massacre and went on to become the nation’s second president. Its mission is to advance the highest standards of excellence for the legal profession, facilitate access to justice, serve the community at large and promote diversity and inclusion.
