Four area law firms have pledged to help their
employees exercise their right to vote in the upcoming elections by giving them
time off and/or by helping them with the voting process – from registrations to
mail-in ballots. Murphy & King,
P.C
., Goodwin, Nutter, and McLane Middleton
have taken a pledge with
A Day for Democracy, a non-partisan initiative, founded by CEOs, and created to
encourage business leaders across the U.S. to help increase the voter
participation of their employees in local, state and national elections.
More than 200 leaders representing nearly one million employees in industries
ranging from law and finance, to sports, entertainment and retail, have signed
the pledge. Pledge participants also include Bank of America, Wayfair, Hubspot
and Harvard University.
