Area Law Firms Pledge to Help their Employees Vote

Four area law firms have pledged to help their employees exercise their right to vote in the upcoming elections by giving them time off and/or by helping them with the voting process – from registrations to mail-in ballots. Murphy & King, P.C ., Goodwin, Nutter, and McLane Middleton have taken a pledge with A Day for Democracy, a non-partisan initiative, founded by CEOs, and created to encourage business leaders across the U.S. to help increase the voter participation of their employees in local, state and national elections.

More than 200 leaders representing nearly one million employees in industries ranging from law and finance, to sports, entertainment and retail, have signed the pledge. Pledge participants also include Bank of America, Wayfair, Hubspot and Harvard University.
