BBA Webinar: Divorce Fundamentals Series: The Initial Divorce Filing

The Divorce Fundamentals Training Series is designed to provide new lawyers or attorneys new to the practice of family law with an overview of the “life of a divorce case.” This training series will cover topics such as the divorce client interview; filing the divorce complaint; child support and alimony; custody and parenting plans; discovery; motion practice; separation agreements and post-judgment issues.

In the second program of this training series, experience family law practitioners will cover how to complete the Complaint or Joint Petition and the forms that accompany them. Additionally, it will outline the differences between each process and their respective timelines. timelines. The discussion will include Supplemental Probate Court Rule 411. 

In the Motion practice segment, we will discuss when and how to file a Motion for Temporary Orders, what should be included, when the Motion should be supported by an affidavit and when to request an evidentiary hearing.
