BBA Webinar: When Criminal Law and Housing Law Collide

Thursday, December 9, 2021 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM

The BBA presents live webinars and virtual events via Zoom. Please register for this program through your BBA account at least two hours before the start time of the program to receive the Zoom webinar link.

This program will look at the intersection of affordable housing and criminal legal involvement. We will explore:

  • What are the different affordable housing programs?
  • What are the rules for getting into or staying in affordable housing, particularly as they relate to alleged criminal activity?
  • What can happen when there is alleged criminal activity in an affordable unit?
  • What should criminal law practitioners do when their client has an affordable unit? What issues should they think about? How to respond to questions like, should my client testify at their housing hearing? Is my client potential eligible for a reasonable accommodation? Etc.

Our panelists are experts in the field of affordable housing and can answer these questions and more.
