BBA Virtual CLE: Planning for the Transfer of Ownership and Operating Control of a Privately-Held Business from One Generation to the Next

This CLE will focus on planning for the transfer of ownership and operating control of a privately held business from one generation to the next. The panelists will emphasize the importance of lawyers being proactive in advising their clients in these areas and raise with the clients issues in a variety of areas of the law including Corporate, Estate Planning, Real Estate, Employment, Tax and Ethical Issues. Attendees will walk away with an understanding of:
  • The importance of establishing a transition plan for a privately held business while the Founder is living;
  • What issues need to be identified and addressed in order to establish and implement a plan which will accomplish the objectives of your client;
  • How to help the client identify the professionals including but not limited to your law firm, who should advise the client in establishing and or implementing his or her plan.
