BBA Webinar: COVID Fraud Enforcement: Federal and State Actions and Priorities

The BBA presents live webinars and virtual events via Zoom. Please register for this program through your BBA account at least two hours before the start time of the program to receive the Zoom webinar link.

The US Attorney’s Office and the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office have been actively investigating a variety of fraud relating to the COVID-19 pandemic, including fake personal protective equipment, fraudulent Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) applications, unemployment fraud, and potentially problematic billing for healthcare services. The panelists will discuss recently announced prosecutions as well as on-going federal and state enforcement priorities relating to the COVID-19 pandemic. They will describe task forces that have been established in support of these efforts and their work with other agencies and with private entities such as hospitals to identify fraudulent activity.
