BBA Webinar: POSTPONED - Language Access and Community Engagement: New Obligations for Development in Boston

Friday, October 30, 2020 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
On-Line

Description:

The BBA presents live webinars and virtual events via Zoom. Please register for this program through your BBA account at least two hours before the start time of the program to receive the Zoom webinar link.

Join us for a panel discussion on a recent landmark compliance agreement secured by Lawyers for Civil Rights with City Life/Vida Urbana and Greenroots between the BPDA and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development on language access. The Agreement imposes novel obligations on the BPDA and real estate developers, including requiring all proponents for Article 80B and 80C projects to create and implement a project-specific Language Access Plan. Don’t miss this chance to hear from those directly involved in securing the agreement on how it will impact Article 80 development across the City, how it creates new language access and community engagement obligations, and how it will support and empower non-English speakers across the City.
