Monday, October 19, 2020 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM
On-Line

Description:

The BBA presents live webinars and virtual events via Zoom. Please register for this program through your BBA account at least two hours before the start time of the program to receive the Zoom webinar link.

Join us for the second program of the “Amplifying Unheard Voices” series, which seeks to highlight and amplify underrepresented perspectives of attorneys, clients and communities that engage with the legal system regularly, and to move towards more equitable representation of and opportunities for these communities.

This second discussion in the series will focus on amplifying the Black, female perspective in a discussion moderated by April English, Chief of Organization Development & Diversity at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. This topic was highly requested after our first program, which focused on the Black male perspective and can be viewed here . This panel discussion will focus on uplifting the voices of Black women attorneys as well as non-attorney professionals.

Future panels in this series are presently expected to highlight additional perspectives such as:

  • Black Trans Attorneys, Organizers & Clients
  • Voices from Behind the Wall: Presently & Previously Incarcerated Individuals
  • Black Law Students
  • Court User Experience
