BBA Webinar: Governing Massachusetts Nonprofits Remotely During the COVID-19 Crisis

Friday, May 15, 2020 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM
On-Line

Description:

The BBA presents live webinars via Zoom. Access to this program is free, included as part of your member benefit. Please register through your BBA account at least two hours before the start of the program to receive the Zoom webinar link. The link will be emailed to registrants on a rolling basis beginning 72 hours before the start of the program. If you have not received a link within one-hour of the program start, please email the BBA contact listed below.

A new emergency law, Section 16 of Chapter 53 of the Acts of 2020, gives Massachusetts nonprofits temporary additional flexibility in holding board and members’ meetings and taking other governance actions during the COVID-19 crisis. Learn about these new options, find out what steps are required to take advantage of them and participate in a practical discussion on remote meetings, member proxies, appointing directors and officers, and more.

BBA Webinars are supported by the Joan B. DiCola Fund. The fund was founded in 2015 in memory of Joan B. DiCola to support the programs and initiatives that foster the education and professional development of lawyers and law students.
