Law school taught you how to think like a lawyer and how to do legal research
and writing, but your first few years in practice is when you really start to
learn the nuts and bolts of practicing law. Providing great service in a
cost-effective way is key to your success, but your ultimate success as a lawyer
also depends on something else: your ability to build business
relationships.
Relationship building is the foundation of all business
development, and in this webinar, we will discuss how relationship building can
advance your career and why relationship building can be hard for new
associates. We will offer strategies to help younger associates to be more
effective in cultivating their professional networks both inside and outside of
your firm. Part of the discussion will focus on tactics to use at a time of
social distancing. While being locked in your house does present some
challenges, there are still ways to cultivate relationships while being
quarantined.
BBA Webinars are supported by the Joan B. DiCola Fund.
The fund was founded in 2015 in memory of Joan B. DiCola to support the programs
and initiatives that foster the education and professional development of
lawyers and law students. To support this fund contact Erica Southerland at
