CANCELLED - Public Interest Leadership Program Info Session and Reception

Monday, March 16, 2020 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Boston Bar Association - 16 Beacon Street, Boston, MA

The Boston Bar Association is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for its 2020-2021 class of the Public Interest Leadership Program (PILP). PILP is a unique leadership program for new lawyers that promotes both civic engagement and public service through advancing the leadership role of lawyers in service to their community, the profession, and the Commonwealth.

PILP members participate in a 14-month educational program to explore community projects, network with business leaders, develop leadership skills, and understand the pro bono landscape. During the second half of the program, PILP members work collaboratively on developing an innovative project that facilitates the BBA's involvement in an issue of importance to the bar. Eligible applicants are BBA members who have graduated from law school within the past ten years and have demonstrated a commitment to public service. The PILP class reflects the diversity of the Greater Boston legal community, in keeping with the BBA's mission.

You’re invited to join us for an informational session and alumni reception at the Boston Bar Association on Monday, March 16th from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The information session will feature PILP alumni who will provide insight into the program, discuss the application process, reflect on their experiences, and answer questions. All PILP alumni are also invited to attend to catch up with classmates and meet potential future members of the program.

We invite you to join us for an informational session and alumni reception to learn more about the program and ask any questions you may have. If you are interested in applying, you can download the application here. Applications are due by Friday, March 27, 2020.
