This program will a two-part fundamentals session.

The first session will focus on how to accurately complete the Financial Statement, the Attorney Certification, and the differences between the long and the short form financial statement. The discussion will also include some advanced topics such as rental property, business income and business assets. The panel will consist of Attorneys Timothy Braughler and Caryn Mitchell-Munevar.

The second session will focus on Chapter 208, Section 34 and it will be reviewed in detail with a focus on the factors the courts consider when assigning property and liabilities in a divorce.  Discussion will include an overview of the various types of assets and liabilities and the best means of discovering those assets and liabilities. Discussion on discovery will include the different types of discovery available and what discovery is mandatory. The panel will consist of Attorneys Carlos Maycotte, Elizabeth Roberts, and Kyle MacDonald.
