The longest federal government shutdown in American history was tied to a perceived border crisis. What conditions are driving this crisis? This panel discussion will focus on the root causes of migration from Central America, a violence-plagued region that is generating caravans. Panelists will examine the legal and policy implications of the federal government's approach to immigration enforcement. Topics will include ongoing changes affecting DACA, TPS, asylum, and ICE enforcement priorities.
