Intellectual Property Protection and Exploitation of Fictional Characters

This presentation will provide an entertaining overview of the most important cases addressing the protection of fictional characters using copyright, trademark, and publicity law. Attendees will also learn about the cases construing the limitations on character owners’ exclusive rights in those characters, and the legal principles that permit others to use those characters in new ways.
