CLE - Troubleshooting Condominium Documents: Rights, Obligations and Potential Conflicts

Monday, May 22, 2017 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Boston Bar Association - 16 Beacon Street, Boston, MA

Condominiums come in all shapes and sizes in the Commonwealth and are created for a myriad of purposes. Whether it be a two unit or two hundred unit condominium created for residential, commercial or mixed use purposes, as a buyer’s or lender’s attorney, it is up to you to review the condominium documents to advise your clients as to their rights, obligations and any potential conflicts that could lead to litigation down the road. Please join Saul J. Feldman of Feldman Law Office, Diane Rubin of Prince Lobel Tye LLP, Kendra L. Berardi of Robinson & Cole LLP and Michael M. Robinson of Goulston & Storrs for an overview of condominium documents, including what provisions are required by statute and what provisions are recommended by our panelists for residential, commercial and mixed use condominiums, how to determine your client is getting what they bargained for, what obligations come with owning a unit, what sections of condominium documents have the highest occurrence of conflicts and disputes and what provisions are necessary to protect the interests of a mortgagee.
