Making Strides: Retaining and Promoting Diverse Talent

Tuesday, March 15, 2016 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Boston Bar Association - 16 Beacon Street, Boston, MA

A commitment to diversity and inclusion is a top priority for leaders from all corners of the legal world, but law is still the least diverse profession in the nation. Corporate law departments and their law firm counterparts are working hard to change that. What can we learn from their coordinated efforts and how can we build upon them? Join us as we examine and discuss the latest innovative approaches to retention and promotion strategies in Boston and beyond.

The Boston Bar Association is delighted to welcome as faculty for this program, American Bar Association President, Paulette Brown.

Joining President Brown will be Michelle C. Ifill, Sr. Vice President and General Counsel at Verizon Corporate Services Group, Inc., Richard E. Meade, Vice President and Chief Legal Officer - International at Prudential Financial, and Matthew V.P. McTygue, Managing Partner of the Locke Lord LLP Boston office.

This progam is being co-chaired by Joseph Y. Wang of Seyfarth Shaw LLP, and Doreen M. Rachal, Assistant U.S. Attorney.

Space is limited and RSVP is required. Please register by logging in below, or via email to Neha Deshpande at

Co-Sponsored by the Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys, the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association, the Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys, the Massachusetts LGBTQ Bar Association, and the South Asian Bar Association - Greater Boston.
