This program is aimed at new practitioners, lawyers who
are new to immigration law, and immigration attorneys a few years into their
practices who would like to brush up on the fundamentals of family-based
immigration law. Our panel of experts will provide a brief overview of the
different government organizations involved in family-based immigration and what they are each responsible for; they
will discuss who can petition for whom; they will
explain the differences between adjustment of status and consular processing; and they will
touch on the hot topic of Special Immigrant Juvenile status.
