Preparing a Client for Deposition

From their varying perspectives as different types of litigators, panelists will discuss what lawyers should and should not do when it comes to preparing a client for deposition. Though all depositions have basic core skills, the panelists will briefly delve into the nuances when preparing different clients for different types of depositions.

After this seminar, attendees will understand:

1. What is a deposition and what attorneys should listen for;
2. The difference between an associate taking/defending a deposition vs. a senior attorney taking/defending a deposition;
3. Tips and strategies for completing depositions; and
4. How to prepare a witness to answer questions and use documents

Our panelists will also provide an introduction to PI vs. 30B6 deponent. Different panelists will discuss specifics based on expertise.
