Limited Assistance Representation Training

Thursday, March 13, 2014 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Boston Bar Association - 16 Beacon Street, Boston, MA

Since it was first piloted in the Probate and Family court six years ago, Limited Assistance Representation has become an often used choice to provide legal assistance to clients who cannot afford an attorney for a full case representation. This program will certify participants as LAR attorneys and teach them the basics on going into court for a single event in a case.

The main certification training will be followed by breakout sessions in LAR in the Probate & Family Court or Land Court. If you are already LAR certified, you do not need to retake the main training in order to register for a breakout session. If you are taking the main training to receive LAR certification and would like to attend a breakout session, you must sign up for a breakout session in advance.  Click here to register for the Probate & Family Court breakout session. Click here to register for the Land Court breakout session.

This training is open to attorneys of all experiences, and New Lawyers are encouraged to attend.

*Please note that the course materials for this program will be electronic only and sent via email to all registrants via email prior to the session.  Please ensure that your preferred email address is provided with your registration.

The Boston Bar Association's CLE Department will be offering certificates of attendance to those in attendance who require CLE Credit or proof of attendance. If you are an attorney admitted in a jurisdiction outside of MA or otherwise require proof of attendance at tomorrow’s program, please pick up a certificate from the BBA Staff after the program.  If you require assistance with CLE credit questions please contact us at or 617-778-2020.
