Tom is the head of Intellectual Property (“IP”) litigation at Dell. In that role, he manages litigation across the globe in all areas of IP, with a focus on patent litigation. Tom also supports non-litigation disputes and licensing, leads Dell’s IP policy efforts, and is a frequent contributor at industry conferences and events. Beyond his work at Dell, Tom has long been active in the broader IP legal community. He serves as co-chair of the Post-Grant Committee of the Intellectual Property Owners Association and previously co-chaired its Litigation and Remedies Committee. He sits on the Board of Directors of the Alan D. Lourie Boston IP American Inn of Court and previously served on the steering committee of the Sedona Conference Working Group 10 on Patent Litigation. Before joining Dell, Tom led intellectual property litigation at EMC Corporation. Earlier in his career, he was a principal at Fish & Richardson, where he built extensive experience handling complex patent litigation matters. At the BBA, Tom served as a member of the Steering Committee of the In-House Lawyers Forum. Tom is also a member of the Society of Fellows of the Boston Bar Foundation. He is a graduate of Yale University and Harvard Law School.
