Suma has over 20 years of experience advising ultra-high net worth families, professional and corporate fiduciaries, and nonprofit organizations, both in private practice and as a corporate executive. She practiced in the Private Client and Trust department of Goulston & Storrs PC for 16 years, and served on its Executive Committee. Most recently, she served as the Chief Fiduciary Officer of Fiduciary Trust, overseeing its fiduciary services and leading its trusts and estates legal department. She was named by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as one of the “Top Women of Law,” and Chambers High Net Worth recognized her for five years while she was in private practice. She is a frequent speaker and panelist on estate planning and trust administration topics. Suma is also a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and a member of the Cambridge Forum on Private Wealth Law. A past Co-Chair of the BBA’s Trusts & Estates Section and Chair of the Joint Finance Committee, Suma is also a member of the BBF Board of Trustees. She is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Law School.
