Sara Cable currently serves as Deputy Attorney General under Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell. As part of the Attorney General’s senior leadership team, Sara oversees the Office’s civil enforcement bureaus, including the Environmental and Energy Bureau, the Health Care and Fair Competition Bureau, and the Public Protection and Advocacy Bureau. Prior to this role, she served as the Chief of the Office’s Data Privacy and Security Division, spearheading the Office’s cybersecurity and consumer privacy protection efforts. Sara also served as an Assistant Attorney General with the Consumer Protection Division, enforcing the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act. Before her appointment as an Assistant Attorney General in 2011, Sara was a litigation associate at Bingham McCutchen LLP, where she litigated commercial disputes featuring unfair trade practice, antitrust, and intellectual property claims. At the BBA, Sara has served as a Co-Chair and member of the Privacy, Cybersecurity & Digital Law Section. She received a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from Harvard University and a Juris Doctorate magna cum laude from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
