Russell is a founding partner at Beck Reed Riden LLP, where he has a national trade secrets and noncompete practice, handles complex business and lawyer mobility disputes, and serves as a mediator. He also teaches Trade Secrets and Restrictive Covenants at Boston University School of Law. At the Boston Bar, Russell is a member of the Society of Fellows, has served as Chair of the Joint Audit Committee, and as member of the BBA Council and the BBA and BBF Executive Committees. In 2017, he served as Co-Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee. Russell has previously served on the Annual Meeting Steering Committee, the BBF Fellows Committee, and as Co-Chair of both the Intellectual Property Law Section and the BBF John & Abigail Adams Benefit Steering Committee. Beyond the BBA, Russell is a founding member of the Sedona Conference’s Steering Committee for the Trade Secrets Working Group, has assisted the Obama Administration formulate its noncompete regulatory approach, and has authored several resources for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc.
Russell is a graduate of Tufts University and Boston University School of Law.
