Raquel is currently a senior attorney at National Grid, where she represents the Company in legal proceedings and advises clients regarding a broad range of regulatory matters. Prior to working at National Grid, Raquel was a litigation attorney at the City of Boston Law Department, where she represented the City of Boston in state and federal court and before administrative agencies in all stages of litigation involving civil rights, employment discrimination and tort law. Raquel also spent seven years as an attorney at a large law firm in Boston. She is a former Council member. Raquel is a current member of the BBF’s Grants Committee and has sat on multiple BBA panels including “Charitable Board Service” and “So You Want To Be An Energy Lawyer.” Raquel has served on many non-profit boards and is currently on the board of directors for the following organizations: Harvard Street Neighborhood Health Center; Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys; Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts; Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus; and Northeastern University School of Law Alumni Association.
