Peter Tobani is an AVP and Senior Corporate Counsel for Liberty Mutual Insurance’s US Retail Markets Strategic Business Unit. In his current role, he primarily provides legal and regulatory support to their Distribution and Marketing group. During his time at Liberty Mutual, he participated in and oversaw the Discovering Justice’s Stand Up for Your Rights program, which is an after-school program for middle school students to participate in a mock appellate program. He also participates in other pro bono programs, including the Lawyers Clearinghouse and Medical Legal Partnership. He is a board member for the Massachusetts Appleseed Center for Social Justice and a contributing member to the WilmerHale/Harvard University Legal Services Center advisory council. Prior to going in-house, Peter practiced at several law firms in the Boston area. At the BBA, Peter is the Co-Chair of the In-House Lawyers Forum Committee and a member of the Insurance and Tort Litigation and Business and Commercial Litigation Sections. He is a former member of the Law Day Steering Committee. Peter is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law and of Binghamton University.
