Miranda is a partner in the Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution group at Goodwin, which she joined in 2023. Miranda represents clients in government investigations, including those involving health care fraud and abuse matters. Previously, Miranda served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Health Care Fraud Unit of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts, where she was responsible for investigating and prosecuting Medicare and Medicaid fraud; violations of FDA laws and regulations, including allegations of off-label marketing and violations of the Anti-Kickback Statute; and drug diversion by hospitals, physicians, and other health care providers. Miranda also worked in the Narcotics and Money Laundering Unit and with the Civil Rights Enforcement Team. Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney’s office, Miranda served as counsel at WilmerHale, where she worked on a number of high-profile government enforcement matters. At the BBA, Miranda has served as Co-Chair of the White Collar Crime Section, a member of the White Collar Crime Conference Steering Committee, and on the Annual Meeting Steering Committee. Miranda is a graduate of Smith College (A.B.) and Suffolk University School of Law (J.D.).
