Megan Gates

Megan is a partner at Covington & Burling where she guides publicly traded and late-stage private companies in the life sciences industry, through capital-raising transactions, SEC reporting compliance and corporate governance obligations, as well as strategic mergers and acquisitions. She has served as a member of Council, BBF Treasurer and a member of the BBF Executive Committee, the Grants Committee, and the Joint Finance Committee. She has served as a member of the 2017 Strategic Planning Committee, the Annual Meeting Steering Committee, and the Law Day Steering Committee. Megan has also Co-Chaired the BBA’s Business Transactions Section, the Securities Law Committee, and the Adams Benefit Steering Committee, and co-chaired the Adams Benefit in both 2016 and 2021. Megan is a member of the BBF Society of Fellows. She is also a member of the Boards of Directors of the Pine Street Inn, Lawyers for Civil Rights, and the Japan Society of Boston. Megan is a graduate of Wellesley College and Boston College Law School.
