Mark Burak a shareholder in the Boston of Ogletree Deakins where he is co-chair of the firm’s Life Sciences Practice Group and a member of its Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee.  He led the Boston office as Office Managing Shareholder for 7 years, and has specialized in the representation of employers in labor and employment matters for over 30 years. Mark’s practice focuses on defending employers in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. Mark’s clients span a number of industries, including life sciences and bio-tech, high technology, healthcare, hospitality, retail, manufacturing, financial services, and non-profit organizations. Mark has been active with the BBA for many years. He served for over a decade on the BBA’s Labor & Employment Committee and served as Co-Chair. He is the author of the BBA’s “Employment Law Guide: A Practical Guide to Understanding Massachusetts Employment Law” and has spoken on many occasions at BBA seminars. Mark is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and Boston University School of Law, magna cum laude.
