Laura C. Bickel joined National Grid as Senior Counsel in 2014. Prior to joining National Grid, she was a Hearing Officer for the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities from 2006 to 2013. Laura’s work involves both large-scale and small-scale clean and renewable technologies in New England; namely, solar, onshore and offshore wind, hydroelectricity, geothermal, energy storage, and anaerobic digestion. At the BBA, Laura is a member of the Boston Bar Journal’s Board of Editors, Energy Conference Advisory Committee Chair, and the former Co-Chair of the Environmental and Energy Law Section, and Energy Law Committee. Outside of the BBA, Laura is the Clerk and a Board Member of the Youth Advocacy Foundation. She previously served as an adjunct professor on energy law and policy at New England Law Boston. She is a graduate of McGill University, and of New England Law | Boston.
