Kathy is Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Eastern Bankshares, Inc. and Eastern Bank (together, Eastern) and Eastern’s Chief Human Resources Officer. She oversees the various legal affairs of Eastern, including corporate governance, in-house legal advice, litigation risk, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including SEC compliance; she also leads the team responsible for talent acquisition and development, employee relations and compensation and benefits. She serves on Eastern’s management committee, is part of the executive team driving Eastern’s strategic efforts on enhanced diversity, equity and inclusion and was part of the leadership team that lead the company through its highly successful IPO in 2019. Kathy currently serves on the BBF Board of Trustees, the Grants committee and is a member of the BBF Society of Fellows. She co-chaired the Adams Ball in 2019. At the BBA, Kathy served on the Women’s Leadership & Advancement Forum, the ABA Resolution 113 Working Group, the Annual Meeting Steering Committee, the PILP Working Group, the Public Service Oversight Committee, the Mentoring Committee, the Work Group on BBA Strategic, Marketing and Policy Communications, the Communications Study Group, and the Delivery of Legal Services Section Steering Committee. Kathy is an alumna of the BBA’s Public Interest Leadership Program. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Political Asylum/ Immigration Representation Project. She is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Lamp for Haiti Foundation.  

Kathy is a graduate of Boston University and Northeastern University School of Law.
