Giselle Joffre has over two decades of experience as both a defense attorney and federal prosecutor. As a partner at Arnold & Porter, her practice is focused on the defense of Life Sciences clients facing criminal healthcare fraud charges and in False Claims Act investigations, litigation, and settlement negotiations. She represents both corporations and corporate executives in federal government investigations, complex commercial litigation, and internal investigations. Her corporate clients have included insurance plans, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, pharmacies, hospitals, physician groups, healthcare providers, and diagnostic and genetics testing companies. Giselle also advises public company and non-profit boards from a variety of industries when sensitive internal concerns arise. She has led sensitive and high-profile investigations and conducted board assessments. She served as a Special Assistant District Attorney in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Boston, investigating civil health care fraud and various types of criminal fraud before returning to private practice.

Giselle is a former Co-Chair of the Women’s Leadership and Advancement Forum, a former Co-Chair of the White Collar Crime Steering Committee, and a member of the Judicial Independence Working Group, the Annual Meeting Steering Committee, and the Summer Jobs Steering Committee. Beyond the BBA, Giselle is a Board Director of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, a Trustee of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, a member of the Town of Milton’s Zoning Board of Appeals, a member of the Massachusetts chapter of Jack & Jill, Inc., and a former Board Director of the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association. Giselle holds an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College and a J.D. from Yale Law School.
