Ed is the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Rockland Trust Company and its parent bank holding company Independent Bank Corp, overseeing Rockland Trust’s legal function. He is also President and Chair of Rockland Trust’s affiliated charitable foundations. Ed is a member of BBF Society of Fellows and has served as a member of the 2022, 2020, 2017, 2016, and 2014 Adams Benefit Steering Committees, and in 2021 served as its Co-Chair. He has also served on the BBA Nominating Committee, the BBA Litigation Section Steering Committee, and the BBF Ad Hoc Committee on Investments, Spending, and Reserves. Ed is also the Founding Chair of the American Bankers Association Regional Banks General Counsels Group. Ed is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and Suffolk University Law School, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review.
