Chris is the managing partner at Sugarman, Rogers, Barshak & Cohen, P.C., where she concentrates her practice in business and employment litigation. She has served as the BBA’s President, President-Elect, Vice President and Treasurer, and as Chair of the Joint Finance Committee, the Nominating Committee, and the Boston Bar Journal Board of Editors. Chris has also served as Co-Chair of the Law Day Steering Committee, the Strategic Planning Committee, and the Task Force on the Future of the Profession. She has been a member of the Fellows Committee, the Rule 3:16 Committee, the Future of the Legal Profession Implementation Working Group, the Communications Study Group, and the Annual Meeting Steering Committee. Chris is a member of the BBF Society of Fellows and served as the BBA’s appointee to the Access to Justice Commission’s Working Group in 2012. Beyond the BBA, Chris has served as Co-Chair of the Women’s Leadership Initiative at the Women’s Bar Association, and on the Advisory Board of the Boston University School of Law Small-Midsized Firm Apprenticeship Program. She was Vice President of the Massachusetts Appleseed Center for Law and Justice from 2013-2015. Chris is a graduate of Cornell University and Boston University School of Law.
