Veterans & Servicemembers Law
The Veterans & Servicemembers Law Forum includes servicemember and veteran attorneys and law students, as well as those working to further pro bono and public service initiatives that support this population. The forum works to spotlight legal needs, serve as a network for current and former servicemembers in the legal profession and their families, and advise the BBA’s Lawyer Referral Service on its Military & Veterans Legal Help Line. Over the course of the year, the forum hosts open meetings, meet & greet luncheons, and pro bono trainings in collaboration with local legal services providers serving military personnel and veterans.
Supporting Veterans & Military Personnel
We recognize the unique position and challenges faced by military-affiliated individuals and veterans. As part of our efforts, we offer a Mentoring Program to connect law students and attorneys new to the Boston area with senior members of the bar to help navigate the transition from the military to the legal profession. We offer regular Meet & Greet Luncheons to provide a place for casual, open discussion and we organize and host pro bono trainings with area legal services organizations on veterans specific issues.Learn More
