Learn how to grow your practice by representing indigent parents and children for the Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS) Children and Family Law (CAFL) Division panels. CAFL certified attorneys accept appointments to represent indigent parents and children on  various kinds of child welfare cases throughout the Commonwealth, and are compensated by CPCS. Presenters discuss the type of work CAFL attorneys do on the trial and appellate panels and give a brief overview on important civil rights issues at stake for families. Along with a quick overview of child welfare cases in Massachusetts, presenters discuss the application process, compensation, and trainings. Presenters also answer participants' questions.
