Panel Discussion: Smoke Free Housing: Implications for our Clients and Communities
Our panel will speak on the possible legal responsibilities of land owners and communities to offer and promote smoke-free housing. Secondhand smoke in multi-unit buildings has been found to result in medical issues for neighbors. When such individuals seek medical transfers based on their health condition, they are told that no remedy is available because exposure to secondhand smoke will occur no matter where they live in the affordable stock.
