Learn how and why the costs of…

  • a new Picasso for the building lobby walls;
  • a refurbished lobby using imported Italian marble tile;
  • a new roof on the building;
  • upgrades to the building required under the Americans with Disabilities Act;

…may be passed through, by a landlord to a tenant, under a commercial lease, depending on the terms and conditions of the lease.

This advanced, hands-on seminar will provide you with a comprehensive look at “Operating Expenses” – beginning in the drafting stage, through the negotiation process and, finally, looking at the rights of the parties in connection with an audit and possible formal legal action.

The panel of experienced tenant and landlord advocates will review the underlying theory and concepts involved in defining Operating Expenses, as well as reviewing relevant law, and provide drafting tips and practice pointers.
